JoJo LaFargue is the artist behind JoJo’s Art. He’s a self taught artist with  some formal training under the tutalige of Marc Poole and Sandra Cassibry at MGCCC (Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College) where he recieved recognition from Marc Poole in his “Teachers Choice Award”.

JoJo was born and raised near some cotton fields in Southern Mississippi and is the second to the eldest among his siblings (two sisters and a younger brother). His art has been seen and sold locally and world wide, reaching states in the US like UT, AR, CA, NY and continents such as Australia and the U.K. just to name a few.

When asked about what inspired him to pursue a passion in art, he is quoted as saying, “I remember when I was a young boy...I was riding the school bus one day and found this old tattered notebook filled with all sorts of cool fantasy art. I remember thinking to myself how awesome it was that someone could actually put down such imaginitive creations on paper. This was the turning point for me and at that very instant I knew that ART! was what I wanted to do...and not just any art would do...I would have to make it just as awesome as what I had seen in that old tattered notebook.”

JoJo is also persuing a degree in Graphic Design and Web Technology at the MGCCC Perkinston Campus in Wiggins, MS and expected to graduate in May 2012.
