Meet Cheryl Boudreaux...

I was born and raised in Biloxi and am a full-time Real Estate Agent who have found myself with a lot of free time on my hands and I like to keep busy. So about two years ago I picked up a paint brush and basically never put it down. I’ll paint anything canvas, walls, old furniture, ceilings, murals, floors etc… I always say “a busy mind is a healthy mind”. You are likely to find me stirring a big pot of jambalaya on the stove and painting a canvas on the same kitchen counter at the same time.

I recently acquired a building in Downtown Biloxi to open a Studio/Gallery. My intent is to partner with fellow Artist to offer them a space to work on projects as well as a separate space to sell their work in the “Gallery a Go-Go” retail space. I have currently partnered with Gretchen David and plan to open in mid-November. We are currently seeking “like-minded” individuals to share in what we believe to be a very exciting time in Downtown Biloxi and to be a part of the re-birth of the “Arts and Entertainment District.

So when I was approached about the opportunity with the Kress Building and the “art can change everything” movement I was thrilled to join with so many talented “artist” and put my view on what I think this area can bring. I think “Biloxian’s” miss the days when we had bars with live music and dancing till dawn days. So my take was a little bit “art-deco” in design

I create alluring figurative paintings that capture my deep passion of vivid colors, and rich textures in dynamic compositions that are inspired by lurid, sensual and amusing characters. I am enamored by the movement a multi-textured palette creates, always an infinite depth of color. I paint with heavy gel and fluid acrylics, intensified bold strokes of color, to reflect my enthusiasm for the beauty and enjoyment of all my experiences in life. My paintings are all about “Self-Expression”
